Simukai
IM started supporting Simukai in 2015. The organization works to ensure that all children can develop to their full potential. Through physical, mental, and spiritual rehabilitation, the children become productive and responsible members of society. Simukai currently operates in four districts in Mutare, Chipinge, and Rusape. The focus is on education, health, livelihood, and advocacy. With support from IM, they are also working on an educational development project in two rural areas in Mutare.
Sprout Women Empowerment (SWET)
Sprout Women Empowerment Trust (SWET) is a feminist and youth-based organization in Zimbabwe founded in 2018. The organization works to help women and girls overcome socio-economic challenges and gain access to resources to fully participate in the sustainable economy. SWET also focuses on increasing women’s participation in leadership and decision-making to develop local communities, especially in vulnerable peri-urban and rural areas, through education, advocacy, and awareness-raising.
Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD)
Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD) is a coalition that works for social, climate, and economic justice by facilitating citizen participation in decision-making processes. The focus is on working with marginalized groups such as rural women, young farmers, and youth aged 18-35.
